Day 3

今早由Kevin帶領靈修分享，回顧在委內瑞拉工作的四年是生命的轉捩點，神讓他有機會安靜，思考生命的意義，以使神今天帶領他全心全職地服待，在馬利蘭牧養群羊，並作美好的見証。在過去在委內瑞拉的經歷，也種下他對南美福音廣傳的心願。

之後，四位短宣隊員出發到附近的店舖作探訪。我們原定計劃到一些往年短宣隊曾探訪的店舖，跟進他們的信仰及生活情況。雖然部份對象的地址未能確定，但我們仍把握在街外的機會，接觸一些中國人的店舖。我們共探訪十間店舖，與十八人傾談。除了派發單張外，一些對象也願意與我們一起祈禱。請為以下的對象祈禱

請為S姊妹禱告，她剛來自恩平，她說恩平没有教會，故未曾聽過基督教，但因為近期治安情況惡劣，她也有一位朋友曾被綁架，並在逃走時發現被綁匪打死。我們與她分享信仰時說到生命没有絕對的安全，唯有將生命交在神手中才會有真正的平安。盼望我們下星期我們能再去探望她，及送她聖經。

請為L弟兄禱告，他並不願意和我們傾談太多，但他說曾到教會，但聚會中身體感到不適及頭暈。

請為C小姐禱告，她雖然認識一些教會的弟兄姊妹，並在她懷孕時幫忙送她到醫院作檢查，但因一星期七天也需要工作，無瑕返教會。　

請為A姊妹禱告，她曾帶女兒參與教會的幾次中文班，但最近不知什麼原因再没有送女兒到教會，願她經我們的鼓勵後會再帶女兒參與聚會。

***請為C先生及太太禱告，他們十分主動接觸短宣隊，也表示對福音很有興趣，他們共育有四位子女，我們曾向他簡單講述福音，盼望下星期會再跟進探訪。

***請為N先生及太太禱告，N生曾與Kevin在委國同一餐館工作，我們也盼望下星期能再探訪他們.

這幾年來，短宣隊其實曾接觸不少華人，也能將福音給他們講解，並帶領部份信主，但可惜教會的人手不足及資源缺乏，不能每個都緊貼地跟進，不少信主後的信徒，不是在忙碌的工作中漸漸淡忘當初的感動，或被異端（如耶証）帶走。請為當地教會能聘請全時間的牧者，興起成熟及熱心的信徒，及尋找一些更可行牧養方法（如在不同地方建立小組，因為晚上六時後人們已不願意外出）

晚上我們參與西文的青年團契，巴城教會特意聘請一位本地的西人牧者，專責牧養教會內說西文的青年人。其實這是一個很好的策略，因為下一代不能避免被本地文化同化，並漸漸忘記中國的文化，一個能幫助他們面對每天生活的小組是重要及必須的。另一方面，他們的朋友及所接觸的也會是以說西文的本地人居多，若能提供一個本地人也能參與的環境能將福音與他們分享。委國是南美州國家中，少數不排擠反而很接納華人的國家。若華人教會能更被挑旺，說不定我們能接這個福音的棒子，帶領很多本地人歸主

昨天青年團契共有約二十位青年人參與，一位年輕的姊妹認真地作她的靈修分享，雖然我們未能完全理解每字每句（他們很好，有弟兄姊妹給我們翻譯），但仍能感受到她對信仰的投入及思考的認真。

Kevin lead us to have devotion today this morning. He talks about his life in Venezuela was so critical for him to settle down his mind, think about the reason of life, and finally decided to follow Jesus. Such experience also develop a burden in his heart of bringing more chinese to Christ in the south America area.

A group of 4 members go to visit stores nearby. We target those stores that were visited by previous stm team with positive feedback. Also we approach some of the new stores run by chinese people. We visit totally 18 people in this visit. We give them some booklet and try to ask them to pray with us. 

Please pray with these people we talked today.

Please pray for Ms. S. She’s from Yan Ping area of Guangdon province. She never heard about Jesus as there was no church in that area. She doesn’t have peace in her heart and frightened by the kidnap of her close friend. Her friend was killed while he tried to escap. We share with her that there is no security in the world but we can only experience the true peace by believing Jesus. Pray that we can visit her again and bring her a bible.

Please pray for Mr. L. He doesn’t want to talk with us, but he share with us that he feel dizziness and uncomfortable during visiting church.

Please pray for Ms C. Some b/s from church had help her to provide ride for her check up in hospital during pregnancy. She is just too busy to squeeze time to visit church since she works 7 days a week.

Please pray for Ms A. She used to bring her daughter to church chinese class. However, she is not doing so recently for unknown reason. Pray that she will visit us with her daughter after our visit.

**Please pray for Mr. and Mrs. Chow. They are very welcome to us and want us to share with them more about gospel. We have briefly talked about the whole gospel. They have 4 kids. We plan to visit them again next week.

**Please pray for Mr. and Mrs. N. Mr. N used to work in the same restaurant with Kevin. We plan to visit them again next week.

Throughout the years, stm has visited many chinese in Barquisimito. And some people were actually converted. Due to the insufficient manpower and resources, however, local church is unable to follow up every case. Those believers are either get lost in their busy life, or follow Jehovah Witness instead of orthodox chrisitan. Pray that local church could hire a full time minister to help the church development, have more devoted believers and investigate a more suitable strategy for this community.

At night we attend the Spanish youth fellowship. A Spanish pastor has been helping the church to cultivate the new generation who mainly speaks Spanish. This is a nice strategy as they are gradually know more about local culture than their family chinese culture. There is 20 youth attending the worship and they are so nice to help translation for us.
