這是我們第一次教導兒童中文班，題目是冬至，我們解釋冬至是冬天的開始，委國的小朋友對冬天並不熟識，因為這裡四季如一，全年短袖衫，早晚加一件外套便可以。我們還介紹湯圓象徵團圓，平安及感恩。小手工Dolores示範用白紙剪出雪花。
感謝主，小朋友們都很認真上堂，我們也十分享受和他們一起的時間。雖然我們團隊没有司琴，但感謝神當天為我們預備一個西人牧師給我們即席伴奏。

在上星期教授歸納式研經法的基本原則後，今天晚上由Brian帶領用此方法查看雅各書第1章。當晚參與的人都很踴躍及投入地實踐觀察，解釋經文，及歸納一些原則，但思考如何具體實踐仍覺不容易，這方面仍需多加練習。請為這群教會領袖禱告，願這個方法能幫助他們正確地明白及解釋經文。
Today we have brothers to prepare for breakfast. They did a good job.
This is our first time to teach Chinese class for kids. We teach about Winter solstice, which is the beginning of winter. How winter is like is not familiar with children in Venezuela because the weather here is the same throughout the year. But they are so excited to see snow from the pics we show in the presentation. We also teach about the meaning of eating sticky rice dumpling in winter solstice. Since the dumpling is in a round shape, it means gathering, peace and thanksgiving in Chinese culture. Dolores has showed everyone how to make snow flake. We are so thankful that kids and us enjoy very much in the lesson. Although we don’t have pianist, a Spanish pastor came today and help us to play a song for us.
For lunch we try another kind of local food. The bread is made of corn powder and the food is named as Cachapas.
At night we have our 2nd inductive bible study class. After Brian taught the theory last week, we have practice on James tonight. Participants are actively involved in observing the details on bible verse, discuss on possible explanation and come up with principles from scriptures. However, it is not easy for them to make application. Please pray that this bible study method could help them to understand and correctly interpret bible.
