Day 4

今天6:30出發到街市。本地的街市只會在星期二及星期六有小販檔，除了蔬菜生果外（我們買了一種奇怪生果，請看下圖），也有甜點，肉類，乾貨及家禽（有新鮮雞）。我們一邊買餸（預備未來幾天的飯食），一邊向華人的檔主及向在買菜的華人派單張，邀請他們參加明天的教會崇拜，及更了解當地的生活。

對比往年，街市內少了攤檔，買菜的人也減少及來晚了。不知道是否經濟差了的緣故。

在派單張和與他們傾談中，雖不少對象反應冷漠，只顧忙著買餸或做生意，也有一些害怕與陌生人交談。但我們仍十分感恩，過程中仍有不少對象願意停下與我們閒聊數句，或答應明天會參加我們的崇拜。本地的大部份華人來自恩平市，都能聽明白廣東話，但也有一些對象有很重的恩平話口音，使我們的溝通有一點阻礙。筆者在派傳單時，感受路人們的眼神帶著恐懼；没有香港街市喧嚷，遇見街坊朋友閒聊時的吵鬧，途人都帶有很高警覺性。

早餐我們到一間本地”茶餐廳”，再遇久違了的千層榚，小時候我最愛的小食之一。午餐我們也到一間本地海鮮餐。在下午的休息時間，隊員們為教會的清潔出力。

晚上我們兵分兩路，部份隊員與教會的弟兄姊妹學唱新歌，打鼓彈琴唱歌的弟兄姊妹也很渴望學習新的詩歌。我們的教會實在是得到神很大的祝福，除了有基本的司琴，什至有敬拜團隊帶領團契及主日的敬拜。對比之下，巴城教會並没有曾受音樂訓練的弟兄姊妹，樂理及音樂訓練是這個教會其中一個很大的需要。

另一部份隊員再出發作探訪。一對剛信主的夫婦願意開他們的家給另外四位華人居住，並積極鼓勵租客們信主及到教會，請為這些對象禱告

請為屋主丈夫禱告，他雖然已決志信主並恆常到教會聚會，但仍因身邊未信主朋友的冷言冷語而沮喪，也缺乏信心去拒絕朋輩的壞習慣（如吸煙及飲酒），這些都阻礙他更深委身基督。

請為其中的一位長者租客禱告，因她與家人的問題不能解決，而被迫一個人搬出居住，這些心結也令她不願意返教會

請為其中一對母女租客禱告，獨力養育女兒絕不容易，而她也因不能放下對夫家的仇恨而心裡很多苦毒

請為一位年青租客禱告，他曾參與教會聚會，但因没有人給他講解及感聖經道理太艱深，而最近已不感興趣到教會。他也感生活很孤單。

其實教會曾在這個家庭中舉行查經班，但開始兩次後卻無疾而終，願神再興起願意帶領查經的弟兄姊妹去建立及栽培他們

William父親的最新消息：

他的父親已安息主懷，而William的家人都是基督徒，並安排在他短宣服待完結後才舉行安息禮拜。感謝主，短宣隊和巴城教會的會友都深得激勵。

開估Day 1問題：共有三位牧師，右二委國教會牧師，左二是來接機的梁弟兄

We dash to market this morning at 6:30am. Local market only opens on Tuesday and Saturday morning, selling fruits and veggie (we bought a strange fruit, see pic below), desserts, meats, dry food and livestock. While we buy the food for the meals on coming days, we also distribute some goepel booklet to buyers and sellers. When compare to previous years, there is less stores and less buyers as well. Maybe it’s because of the bad ecomony?

Although most of the people don’t show great response to us as they focus on buying and selling, we are so thankful that some people are willing to spend some time to talk with us. A large majority of them come from Yan Pin Province of China and speaks Cantonese, however, some speaks with very strong accents that is difficult to understand their saying. I can experience the fearless from the eyes of people in markets.

We have our breakfast in a local chinese restaurant. And we have lunch in a local Venezuela seafood restaurant. B/s are so nice to do clean up in the free time this afternoon.

At night we have some team members to share some new songs to some local church b/s. In contrast to us, they don’t have any pianist/guitarist that had previous music training. This is one of the biggest need of this church to improve the music component of Sunday worship.

Some team members go to visit a family which has 6 people living together. A couple is willing to rent the rooms to people in need in order to share gospel with them and bring them to church. Please pray for this family and the tenants.

Please pray for the landlord. He is a Christian but is still frightened to be a good witness of his non-believers’friends. He also feel uneasy to quit smoking and drinking while hang out with friends. These are the major reason for him to make deeper commitment in church.

Please pray for an elderly tenant, she has some relationship problem with her family that resulted in living outside alone.

Please pray for a single mother and her daughter. She feels difficult to raise up her daughter alone. She also have strong hatred towards her family. Pray that God will help her to do that as she can’t do that herself.

Please pray for a young adult tenant. He feels lonely as family is still in China. Although he had been to church, it is too difficult for him to understand bible and the message. He has quitted going to church recently.

Updates of William’s father: His father has passed away peacefully.  We are thankful that William’s family are Christian and plan to have ceremony after his come back from short term mission trip. We are thankful that his witness has greatly encourage us and the local church.
